Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Trigluon Co., Ltd. (株式会社Trigluon) ("Trigluon", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the KAI Tutor mobile application and related services (the "App").
1.Information we collect
We collect only what the App needs to provide adaptive tutoring:

| Audio (speaking practice) | If you use speaking exercises, the audio you record is processed to evaluate pronunciation and generate feedback. |
| Device & usage | App version, device type and OS, language, crash logs, and basic usage events used to keep the App reliable. |
| Purchases | Subscription status. Payments are handled by Apple; we do not receive or store your card details. |
| Feedback you send | If you use Feedback in the App, the message you write and up to 3 screenshots you choose from your photo library, linked to your account so we can reply. |
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
2.How we use information
- To deliver and personalize adaptive lessons, diagnostics, and review.
- To generate AI explanations, feedback, and answers to your follow-up questions.
- To evaluate speaking practice and provide pronunciation feedback.
- To maintain your progress across sessions and devices tied to your account.
- To operate, secure, debug, and improve the App.
- To manage subscriptions and provide customer support.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3.AI processing & third parties
The App is powered by artificial intelligence. To generate tutoring content, explanations, and feedback, the text you submit — and, for speaking exercises, your recorded audio — is sent to third-party AI providers that process it on our behalf under contract. These providers act as our processors and are not permitted to use your content to train their general-purpose models except as needed to provide the service to us.
Categories of service providers we rely on:
- Large-language-model and speech-processing providers (for AI tutoring and pronunciation feedback);
- Cloud hosting and database providers (to run and store the service);
- Apple (for app distribution, sign-in, and subscription billing).

4.Children's privacy
The App is intended for learners aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Where a learner is a minor under applicable local law, a parent or guardian should review this policy and supervise use. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
5.Data retention
We keep your account and learning data for as long as your account is active, so you can resume study and see your history. Audio from speaking practice is retained only as long as needed to generate feedback and improve reliability, and is deleted or de-identified thereafter. Feedback messages and screenshots are kept until you delete your account. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
6.Account & data deletion
You can permanently delete your account and associated personal data from inside the App: open Settings → Account → Delete account and confirm.
You may also request deletion by emailing kai@trigluon.ai from your account address. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription — manage that in your Apple account settings.
7.Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other applicable laws), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at kai@trigluon.ai. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
8.Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable cloud infrastructure to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to promptly address any incident.
9.International transfers
We operate from Japan and the United States, and our service providers may process data in other countries. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we take steps to ensure it remains protected consistent with this policy and applicable law.
10.Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
